POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As Global Lean Manager Logistics you are responsible for designing and implementing Lean principles, standards and practices throughout Amer Sports warehouses in close relationship with dedicated on-site Lean managers.
This function aims to drive the global Lean strategy, to improve process harmonization, performance and productivity measurement, execution and follow-up of continuous improvement measures in order to reduce waste and defects in all logistics processes.
It also contributes to ensure sustainable processes and know-how in terms of Lean management as well as mindset change and best practice sharing in order to reach best in class performance culture in Amer Sports Distribution Centers.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Define & drive the Global Lean approach:
• Analyze as-is situation of performance culture and monitoring in the Distribution Centers
• Set up performance monitoring across all locations
• Define productivity Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Adapt and implement Lean concepts and methods (5S, TPM, Pull/Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, Demand Driven Processes, Visual Management …) in order to reach higher quality, lower cost & shorter lead times
• Drive communication and create training tools in order to spread the Lean know-how
• Enforce ownership by local DC teams to further drive performance culture sponsored by local leadership
• Provide the warehouses with regular support to ensure improvements, benchmarking (internal & external), knowledge & best practice sharing across DCs
• Screen and align on priorities of improvement opportunities
• Build a global Lean glidepath in alignment with Warehousing teams
• Regularly monitor and capture savings
• Track the progress of the glidepath realization
• Manage and contribute to knowledge transfer and change management workshops with DC teams
• Build and run a Lean community across all DCs
This position requires frequent business trips in Europe and Northern America (40%)
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
Technical skills:
• A proven knowledge and experience in continuous Improvement is mandatory: Lean concepts, Six Sigma, Agile Scrum, PMP, Change Management, Kaizen, PDCA, 5S, FMEA and/or similar methodologies
• Strong verbal and written communication in English
• Ability to use data and metrics to drive improvements
• Project management methodology
• Knowledge of Supply Chain & Warehousing processes
• Process auditor skills
• IT processes and system acumen
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus
• Knowledge of a WMS (Warehouse Management System) is a plus
• APICS certification is a plus

YOUR PROFILE:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Lean methods, six sigma, cost saving and service improvement projects, preferably in Logistics/warehousing environment.
• Change management experience is required in a multi-sites and multi-cultural context.
• Demonstrated project management and facilitation experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Logistics or Business Administration
