POSITION TITLE: Financial Accountant
LOCATION: Frimley/Blackwater (UK)


As Financial Accountant you will Support the Global Finance Platform (GFP) on accomplishing the financial management duties for the UK and Nordic entities.


• Control, review and approve monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet for legal entity, both in SAP and Oracle
• Preparation of journal entries
• Preparation of annual financial statements for UK entity
• Assistance with local tax compliance and other local regulations (VAT, corporation tax and statistical surveys)
• Dealing with local audits (external & internal)
• Financial policy execution (IFRS and local GAAP)
• Follow-up and coaching with shared financial service centre (AFSS)
• Implementation of finance process developments in cooperation with Group Finance and AFSS
• Assist with preparation of tax reporting for Group
• Local contact for any Finance related matters (Banks, Insurances, Leasing, etc.)
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams (Taxes, Brand Business Controlling, HR, local Retail team, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and others)
• Coding of purchase invoices and raising purchase orders
• Assistance with budgeting and forecasting costs for GFP and portfolio expenses (UK & Nordic entities), and commentary of actual vs budget on monthly basis (UK only)
• Responsible for one UK entity
• Ad hoc tasks and projects

• Good knowledge of local compliance requirements around statutory accounting, Indirect and Direct taxes
• Adhere to given deadlines
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills; experience using SAP beneficial


• University degree (preferably in Finance or Business)
• 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience working in an international environment
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
• English (fluent speaking and writing), knowledge of a Nordic language beneficial
