POSITION TITLE: Financial Controller (m/f/d)
LOCATION: Garching near Munich, Germany

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Support Global Finance Platform (GFP) team in financial controlling and financial management of the four German entities (Amer Sports Deutschland, Amer Sports Europe Services, Amer Sports Export, Amer Sports Europe)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparation of financial statements according to IFRS / HGB and internal reporting
• Preparation of portfolio forecasts and budget
• Support internal and external audits (esp. tax audits)
• Support for external reporting (statistics, transfer price documentation, tax reporting)
• Support in tax compliance (direct & indirect)
• Support in payroll reconciliation
• Provide support to HR and Finance shared service center
• Participate in project work based on further development of accounting and finance processes
• Observe changes in local legislation and initiate changes and improvements
• Ad hoc tasks in the areas of accounting, reporting and taxes

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

• Solid knowledge of HGB / IFRS / German tax law
• Knowledge of local and international compliance requirements in the areas of statutory accounting and taxes
• High level of system and PC skills (SAP, Microsoft office, esp. Excel, Oracle is an add)
• Language skills: German, English (Business-fluent), Czech or Slovakian is an add
• Structured and organized work approach with hands-on mentality
• Used to work precisely and autonomous
• Adhere to given deadlines
• Good communicative skills: communication across borders and functional areas
• Proactive attitude of working in a team
• Adapting and responding to change and improvements

YOUR PROFILE:

• University degree (preferably in Finance or Business Administration) or equivalent (e.g. Certified Accountant, Assistant Tax Consultant)
• 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience in an international environment
• Experience with general ledger functions and month end / year end closing process
