POSITION TITLE: Marketing Executive (Fixed-term contract from October 2020 to March 2021)
LOCATION: Zeist, Netherlands

As the Marketing Executive, you will establish and lead marketing activation in the Netherlands for Salomon, focussed on Shopper (retailer) marketing, digital and influencer marketing.
  • Represent the brand in the Netherlands market externally with retailers and consumers & cooperate with internal stakeholders – the Dutch Sales team and market manager.
  • Execution of local shopper Marketing programs, on- and offline, for Salomon including Key Accounts Bever,, Intersport group, and the premium partner field accounts
  • Manage external service suppliers/agencies & relationships with external marketing contacts at Key Accounts.
  • Implement/coordinate own Retail Marketing actions.
  • Support other, trade relevant sell-in events such as (i) Trade Shows & Buying Days, (ii) Showrooms.
  • Coordinate the Brand Ambassador community activities including shop staff trainings & consumer-facing events.
  • Coordinate local digital social media activations through owned channels, brand ambassadors and PR
  • Negotiate and manage third party partnerships (co-branding).
  • Build translations and localization of content.
  • Collaborate with UK/Ireland/Netherlands Country Marketing Manager to develop and agree the Dutch seasonal activation plans and to report progress vs KPIs.
  • Leverage briefs (toolkits) from global HQ brand team & outputs of the UK-based marketing team specialists to translate locally relevant marketing activations.
  • Manage local marketing budget to agreed targets.
  • Relevant education in university and/or business school course work, Bachelor or Master Degree with focus on marketing preferred
  • 3 – 5 years marketing experience in Sporting goods or branded consumer goods
  • Experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in working in an English speaking matrix environment where influencing and networking is a key success factor
  • Active sport enthusiast with an interest in winter sports preferred
  • High level MS office knowledge
  • Driving Licence
  • Fluency in English and Dutch
  • Understanding of wholesale retail and eCommerce marketing
  • Consumer-centric marketer with understanding of outdoor sports
  • Understanding of brand and marketing concepts
  • Understanding and analysis of trade marketing KPIs
  • Digital savvy with excellent understanding of social media
