POSITION TITLE: HR Generalist / DACH Region
PERIOD: May 2020 for 12 to 16 months as maternity leave cover
LOCATION: Garching near Munich

EMEA HR Business Partner Team is looking for a team member to strengthen and help develop our services. The role is maternity leave cover for at least 12 to 16 months.
You like being involved in many different tasks and bringing them to a close. You are passionate about people management in HR and implementing processes. You are a team player with decision making capacity and a great sense of responsibility and humour.   • Facilitate and coordinate HR services in DACH countries and provide support to day to day HR matters on a zonal level for employees and manager
  • Support, implement and organize all HR key processes (Performance and Talent Reviews, Salary increases, etc)
  • Coach Managers on HR processes and systems, including delivering training
  • Manage local legal/employment issues in Germany, Switzerland and Austria (with EMEA HR Manager/ outsource providers and internal departments as appropriate)
  • Facilitate the recruitment process through external recruitment agency, while conducting interviews to support selection decisions when required at a final stage
  • Interface with HR Shared Service relating to all relevant processes – payroll, contracts, reference letters etc.
  • Implement, advise on and ensure compliance with HR policies and practices
  • Involvement with and coordination/implementation of HR projects
  • Ad hoc tasks as required from time to time
  • Minimum 5 years HR experience in an international, matrix environment
  • Degree in personnel management or equivalent
  • Fluent German and English
  • Thorough knowledge of German employment law practices essential, some experience in employment law practices for Switzerland and Austria an advantage
  • Microsoft Office skills – intermediate or advanced in Excel, Word, Power-point & Outlook
  • Workday or similar HRIS experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
