POSITION TITLE: Transportation Clerk EMEA (m/f/d)
LOCATION: Überherrn, Germany

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As the transport officer, you support the transportation manager EMEA and the regional and global transportation team to allow delivery of finished goods within deadlines while optimizing costs and services.
  • Being the expert in all activities related to inbound and outbound shipping activities for finished goods (and raw materials) to and from Amer Sports DC’s in EMEA
  • Working closely with the DC Managers and inbound/outbound supervisors in the DCs to ensure a steady, accurate alignment
  • Working closely with LSO (logistics service offices) to manage exceptions, priorities, and being a point of contact for questions relating to outbound shipments
  • Working with other internal stakeholders and internal customers to understand and fulfill the needs in regards to service and cost expectations
  • Controlling EMEA inbound freight invoices vs tariffs, checking charges from carriers and supervising the accrual process
  • Managing and monitoring up-to-date rate information in all relevant systems
  • Supporting budget guidance processes, cost-saving actions
  • Supporting, launching and managing RFQs and negotiate contracts with candidates
  • Maintaining transportation transit time and route determination table, managing changes
  • Maintaining KPI reporting and preparing business review meetings with carriers
  • Managing and analyzing the customer experience and making proposals to meet the growing expectations of our customers
  • Project Management for transport management related projects
  • Troubleshooting, tracking and resolving compliance-related chargebacks and issues
  • Inbound and outbound invoice coding activities

YOUR PROFILE:
  • 2-3 years of experience in transportation, logistics
  • Formal education or equivalent experience in transportation, warehouse operations, logistics or other related fields
  • Advanced MS Office knowledge
  • Knowledge of SAP WMS a plus
  • Previous experience with carrier management
  • Progressive experience in a fast-paced, high volume distribution operation
  • Basic business finance knowledge
  • Fluent in German and English
