POSITION TITLE: Demand Planner and S&OP Manager Precor EMEA (m/f/d)
LOCATION: Garching near Munich


As Demand Planner & S&OP Manager Precor EMEA, you will be responsible to provide a monthly forecast following all agreed processes and a defined S&OP-calendar.
In this role, you lead the S&OP process development in EMEA together with Precor headquarter and Supply Chain team in the US, including process implementation and execution.
You will strongly collaborate with the commercial teams. After the demand plan has been approved, you will manage Purchase Order requisitions for the respective suppliers (both internal and external). You will be working in a planning expert community to improve forecast accuracy and services in EMEA.

Demand Planning:
  • Providing a monthly forecast reviewed and analysed on article level and creating the demand plan incl. market, historical and statistical data as well as trend developments by working closely together with Go-to-Market and supply teams as well as 3rd party suppliers.
  • Reviewing forecast, showing forecast accuracy and pointing out the risk of inventory and the risk of shortages/delays.
  • Coordinating cross functional to prove an accurate consensus demand plan.
  • Assessing the ability to meet the demand by reviewing available capacities, existing lead-times, resources (internal and external supply) and inventory.
  • Supporting the end-to-end range management process including material and system setup.
  • Distributing and consolidating the global range management files.
  • Setting up the demand planning systems with relevant seasonal/market-related data and competitive intelligence.
  • Preparing and maintaining relevant reports pertaining to the demand planning process.
  • Reconciling actual supply versus planned demand to optimize fulfilment and future planning.
  • Following up on supply requisitions and creating purchase orders based on these requisitions.
S&OP process:
  • Facilitating the monthly S&OP meetings with Commercial, Sales, and Finance by recommending adjustments to the overall operational forecasts and find consensus between the teams.
  • As the final result of the S&OP meeting, placing an accurate and aligned forecast into the system.
  • Creating the S&OP calendar for the complete year in alignment with all involved departments.
  • Gathering sales forecast figures of the countries in EMEA and comparing them with past sales.
  • Validating the forecasts to understand the sources of demand and account for seasonal variability.
  • Matching demand and supply plans and finalizing the realization of the plan.
  • Working closely together with demand planning counterparts in the US as a key member of the global S&OP processes.
  • Ensuring E2E planning process from sales forecast via demand plan, supply plan, production plan/sourcing (to 3rd party supplier) by defining range setup and building new product hierarchy based on material master structure.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; or equivalent work experience and education may be considered
  • 3-6 years’ experience with demand/supply planning (seasonal soft goods experience preferred) and S&OP process
  • Retail and/or sporting goods industry experience 
  • Expert in Excel (required)
  • SAP experience needed
  • Experience with various reporting tools (SAP BI, Business Objects, QlikView®)
  • JDA software experience is a bonus
  • Comfortable communicating with senior leadership
  • Previous experience presenting and negotiating with executive level management as well as influencing within a matrix environment
