POSITION TITLE: Junior Demand Planner Wilson Golf EMEA
LOCATION: Irvine, North Ayrshire

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As Junior Demand Planner Planner, you will be responsible for the planning and coordination of golf balls, soft goods (bags, gloves, accessories, and apparel) in order to support sales and operations across the EMEA region. This incorporates demand planning and analysis and also strong collaboration with the commercial teams.
  • Working closely with the Demand Planner in all aspects of the EMEA sales forecasts and planning tools for golf balls and soft goods.  
  • Liaising with Senior Business Directors and Commercial Managers together with Product Line Managers to establish the EMEA golf ball and soft goods product line strategy and new product introduction timelines.  Putting plans in place for new product samples for launch needs, key account meetings, Trade Shows first production activities.
  • Working with Chicago graphics and marketing team to review and establish an accurate EMEA Golf Catalogue and Product Guide for golf balls and soft goods.  
  • Supporting and liaising with Demand Planner on the EMEA golf ball and soft goods Product Line Plans.
  • Maintaining Global Demand Planning (GDP) percentage splits for golf balls and soft goods.
  • Liaising with Demand Planner on Sales Representatives signed off EMEA demand plan for golf balls and soft goods, reviewing, analysing and challenging the individual country forecast where appropriate.  Making changes to GDP as necessary, refreshing demand plan, retracting to SAP R3 and validating retraction.  
  • For golf balls and soft goods, deciding parameters for running MRP for each product group, taking cognisance of the different vendor lead times and specific global direction from sourcing and supply chain teams.
  • Managing non-MRP golf ball and soft goods demand requirements via on-going communication with SSE/TSM to ensure that customized products are consolidated and purchased as necessary.  Monitoring customized products´ sales performance per country, highlight inventory issues and amicably resolve disputes.
  • Working directly with account management with regards to key account product needs paying particular attention to customized products requirements.
  • Regularly reviewing and communicating product availability issues and recommendation of air freight as a solution to potential problems.
  • Supporting inventory/SKU control – working with commercial teams to perpetually reduce complexity.
  • Working closely with the Irvine DC team to ensure that products are supplied to the DC in an efficient manner.
  • On-going liaison with the Global Supply Chain Team in Chicago – Demand and Supply. 
  • Keeping up to date with the latest product and vendor situations on new product development, pricing and production/lead-time matters.
  • Submitting new product MRF requests for exclusive EMEA golf balls and soft goods.  
  • Handling incoming product enquiries – EMEA sales and customer services teams and internal warehousing and operations.
  • Handling carrier enquiries with regards to advance movement of goods.
YOUR PROFILE:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in similar demand/supply planning role
  • Degree level in related field preferred
  • Expert in Excel
  • SAP experience preferred, ideally in materials management and S&D
  • Good understanding of S&OP processes & customer service
  • Strong numeric and analytic skills and paying attention to detail
  • Retail and/or sporting goods industry experience
  • Fluent in English
