POSITION TITLE: EMEA Smart Service Sales Team Manager
LOCATION: EMEA-wide (preferrably Garching near Munich)

As the EMEA Smart Service Sales Team Manager you will be the overall leader of the EMEA-wide Smart Service sales team. Your focus is to enable success by designing and launching EMEA-wide offers, sales processes, and performance management methods necessary for success by fulfilling the following responsibilities:
  • Over-all management of Smart Service sales teams’ strategic direction, key activities, and competence development in order to achieve EMEA sales & cost of sales targets
  • Delivering plans to achieve EMEA & country targets for Smart Service sales
  • Driving EMEA-wide best practices in ’Smart Service’ style selling by introducing processes, offers, and approaches that maximizes the ability of the sales force to succeed.  Appropriately balancing process harmonization with needs to respect those local market norms necessary to succeed at a micro-level
  • Instigating, designing & leading the initiatives that will enable success of the new Smart Service Sales Team
  • Designing a Smart Service sales process and roll out to the EMEA-wide Smart Service sales team
  • Introducing appropriate training and development plans
  • Introducing best practices in performance management, including introduction of standard activity management metrics, so as to drive sales and productivity
  • Championing, persuading, and influencing omni-channel country management teams to implement required interventions
  • 5 years or more of professional sales experience with a consumer goods or sporting goods industry
  • 5 years’ or more experience managing sales teams
  • Experience managing multi-national teams. Comfortable working across borders and across different work cultures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent communication skills in English
  • Willingness to travel
  • Experience with using virtual communications (Skype, IM, email, etc) in management preferred
  • 3 years or more of commercial management experience as an advantage
  • 3 years or more of experience with virtual sales techniques as a plus
