POSITION TITLE: E-commerce Channel Specialist (m/f/d)
LOCATION: Garching near Munich

As the E-commerce Channel Specialist you will own the online execution of Amer Sports brands on our customer’s websites – building recommendations to elevate the Amer brand presence and ensuring best in class representation of our brands. You will be working with the EMEA leadership team, marketing, commercial, legal and E-tail teams, your role is key to the success of the E-Tail channel – a strategic growth priority for Amer Sports.

  • Being the expert for online distribution polices across the different business areas, and principle owner of the internet sales policy, both of which are major pillars of our E-Tail strategy. 
  • Being responsible for analysing and driving improvement in our digital share of shelf on our customer’s websites – identifying and sharing best practice across EMEA.
  • Assessing and sharing insight on how our key franchise products are performing for our customers – including digital execution, consumer shopping experience and the use of 3rd party marketplaces.
Brand presence:
  • Evaluating our customers against the e-Vectra framework to review the quality of our online positioning.
  • Owning the evolution of our e-Vectra framework to ensure it remains relevant and ensures a premium online presence for our brands.
  • Communicating performance and recommendations to account management / marketing teams to drive improvements.
  • Providing feedback for internal projects on content requirements for key customers.
  • Assessing the quality of execution of our competitors on top Etail websites, identifying latest trends and future opportunities.
Market evaluation:
  • Evaluating key products across the top e-tail websites to establish trends and share insight towards the potential profitability of our brands for top customers.
  • Analysing and reporting our share of promotions.
  • Supporting country GTM teams to share local RRP’s for cross border e-tail business.
  • Monitoring macro trends and customer use of 3rd party marketplaces.
Share of digital shelf:
  • Analysing our share of digital shelf across our top e-tail customers.
  • Benchmarking ourselves vs the key competitor brands.
  • Providing insight and learnings to the GTM teams on how to improve our visibility through the e-tail website.
  • Making recommendations and feedback to the e-tail CoE any proposed changes to the share of shelf metric.
  • Utilising tools like Similarweb to provide insight on consumer traffic and relative importance of e-tail websites for each market.
Online distribution:
  • Identifying and communicating any violations to our internet sales policy.
  • Identifying and communicating any violations to our global shipping policy.
  • Partnering with legal/general counsel as the principle owner for the internet sales policy to guide future changes to ensure it remains relevant to the market.
  • Understanding the brands distribution policies and their impact towards our online business providing GTM feedback to the brands.
  • Evaluating our Etail customers to ensure our business area CRA is implemented consistently.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of professional experience in sales, commercial, ecommerce in premium branded consumer goods industry; premium sporting goods market preferred
  • University degree
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to present findings and insights in an efficient and effective manner
  • Business acumen in E-commerce
  • A pro-active planner, initiating action and organizing multiple projects
  • Excellent communicator and listener with an ability to effectively collaborate with all levels
