POSITION TITLE: Customs & Trade Analyst (m/f)
LOCATION: Überherrn

As Customs & Trade Analyst (m/f) you will be a member of the Global Tax Department, working in the Amer Sports’ Customs Operations Team located at the Distribution Center Ueberherrn, responsible for internal brokerage as well as coordinating external Customs Brokers. In this role you will ensure Customs & Trade (import, bonded warehouse and export) activities of Amer Sports are fully compliant and performed in accordance with the applicable customs laws, regulations, and related internal procedures with the aim to achieve best-in-class performance.
  • Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Performing daily customs operations by preparing and executing customs declarations (import, bonded warehouse, and export).
  • Controlling and supporting customs operations handled by external brokers for Amer Sports.
  • Monitoring customs operations (internal/external) and resolving detected or addressed customs operations issues, related to customs regulations, including managing duty drawback.
  • Issuing Preference Certificates (such as A.TR, EUR.1) and Certificates of Origin, including management of supplier`s origin documentation, where required.
  • Managing specific customs procedures related to the bonded warehouse, such as inventory corrections, scrapping.
  • Collaborating with the local Customs Team, local Warehouse Team, and other Amer Sports’ Departments (such as Export Team) to provide excellent support and advice related to Customs’ topics.
  • Being an integral member of the Global Customs team and wider Tax Department.
  • Managing process improvements resulted of regularly performed process and data analysis with the aim to achieve operational excellence.
  • Managing your ongoing professional development by continuous education/training in alignment with your Manager and keeping up to date in customs operations knowledge.
  • Commercial Apprenticeship with International/Logistics Focus
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in international trade compliance area with knowledge of customs & trade regulations in a medium to large size company
  • Proficient in import, bonded warehouse, and export processes and formalities in Germany
  • Knowledge of customs law, regulations, and policies applicable in Germany/EU
  • Good language skills in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Proficient in standard IT skills (MS Office), skills in SAP ERP R/3 and/or SAP GTS is an advantage
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • Self-starter, self-organized – able to spot issues and react positively, escalating as necessary
